About Us

Tony and Chrissy Barbusca met and married in Miami, Florida.  We got a dog, bought a house, and loved teaching in the Miami public schools.  But after a 10-day trip to Romania in 1999, we sold the house, sent the dog to Doggy Disney World (Chrissy’s mom’s house), and moved to Bucharest, where we taught at an outstanding school (Bucharest Christian Academy) for missionary and expat children and made fabulous friends whom we love dearly.  We lived there for 6 of the next 10 years, during which time we had our three kids, whom we love even more dearly:  Marco (now 10), Rocco (now 7) and Gianna (now 5).  In August 2009, we moved to North Africa to teach at a much larger outstanding international school.  We are now headed back to Romania and BCA, and are excited about what God has in store for us.
